How to earn money through Facebook? ever wonder you can turn your activity that is probably a time-wasting one into money generating. Read my story How I got my first job through Facebook.

Back in 2008 I gotta know about Facebook and I created an account as an ordinary user but then it was to me a fortune unlike every other user in 2010.

I attended a WordPress workshop though I knew about it from a long time almost from 2008 (that was the same year when I first got my Internet connection).

My Story from an Ordinary User to Social Media Rockstar

Facebook was just a tool to socialize till 2010 but in the same year I followed a few steps though I didn’t knew what I was doing at the time, whatever it was the result was more than my expectation in every sense.

It’s already been an honor for me to write my first blog post as a Chief Editor of a PR4 blog, I am sure there won’t be a single blogger in this world who would have got such an opportunity. The platform I got was an amazing one and today it made me stand in the line of  those who are earning online in the blogosphere.

Here is what I did and my result is already above mention and I am sure you are going to gain something more than I did.

Select Interest

One of the best things I did was selecting my interest. It isn’t that much difficult thing as it seems so or when you hear of it. Almost every one of us have particular hobbies to which we are attracted either it be playing a sport or listening to music.

I made a list, organized and tried to be as much specified as I can be though still things are not as I decided my friend-list is messed up even when I used smart lists too. Just as in Twitter we follow the people through the hash tags I implemented the same thing on Facebook because I wasn’t using Twitter at that neither I am more addict to it as I am to Facebook and that is the only reason it became an important medium to socialize and to interact with new people.

Create Community

Once you are complete with the first step then it becomes easier for you to create a community or more probably a world in which are the people of your choice or those who inspire you and that’s fantastic. It is better to send them friend request (subscribe) or like their pages to stay updated about their activities.

There are many people who don’t want to add strangers on their profile so better write them a message of few lines appreciating their work and why you approached them which results in friend-request approval.

Second and the best thing is that when the other person asks you  about yourself. To me it was a great chance as it exposes my creativity or what really I am even writing that I am an uprising or aspiring blogger was fun and you get a lot of best of luck from your seniors.

Build Relationships

Now as you have created a community the only thing you need is to build good and long-lasting relationship. In the whole list it is the only time taking and toughest task and for sure it might take time to build strong relationship but they are going to benefit you the whole life, no matter if you are for them included in the list of acquaintances that’s enough too. Stay Calm and don’t Expect much from them. Every person has his own character in the Blogging world I interacted to many people some were outspoken and arrogant whereas some were too supportive and helpful so it’s better not to consider everyone God on the other side the helpful people aren’t extinct so far so carry on your search find more people, build up better relations – a bigger community.

Start Showcasing

Whatever talent or skill you have expose it, show them what you own. Try to show them the real you in a magnificent and appealing way and create a profile that will attract clients rather than faking and characterizing or adopting some other admirable things to impress.

I used Facebook as my portfolio and it worked out. Being a designer (a self-taught one) I shared what I created even something not so professional but I keep on trying and sharing my experiences and so on the profile I created became my design journal, there were stories of my designing career from the beginning till the time and it turned out to be a million dollar thing as I started designing for some big brands and started getting offers.

Claim Yourself a Step ahead

I was a designer but there was a man who saw in me the talent to write just because I claim my self a Blogger though I wasn’t before I was approached, I had created several blogs with free domain and hosting and wrote a few life experiences that are not enough fine to be shared on my Facebook or Twitter so true is that they were quite worst in fact there were 4 or 5 views there but all these things never matter. We keep on moving and enhancing our learning ability and learn more efficiently than earlier and the end is good – almost each time we try.

This tip is not gonna work for everyone you need to be very much sharp before you tell someone that you can do this and that and even in this case you need to be specified in certain fields it’s not like that if I am a designer so I can be a good cartoonist as well but because I am a designer I can write design tutorials so that’s how you need to think on board and in any case be wise and sincere to yourself and your clients I still say faking yourself or replicating someone you are not results in being empty-handed.

Get into the Cup

As in every game, if you’ll quit you are not going to win so keep on playing the game generously no matter how much time it will take to make you the master. The gaming console is in your hands you just need to enhance the way you play the game.

I find myself extremely fortunate as I believe my case is very much rare and all I can say it was an accident.

In addition it is true not every thing is suitable for everyone. I never tried Freelancer or Odesk because setting up profiles and spending time there was only waste but to many it is a platform to get new jobs so the conclusion on which I have landed is there is not a single solution to any problem there are many more option. Cyberspace is too big to be explored there are many things that need to be discovered by you and might be they will work for you.

From your side merely one effort is required and that’s your determination and will to do.

And if you have any story that needs to be shared and can be helpful to any one than go ahead Comment section is all yours.
